DEOS Consultancy Requests Expressions of Interest for NHSP-Aligned Infrastructure Pilots to Transform Community Diagnostics

14 May 2026

Company seeks interested parties for sustainable power in modern diagnostics

TAUNTON, UK, 14th May – DEOS Consultancy, in partnership with Cuin, is proud to announce the launch of an Expression of Interest (EOI) for its NHSP-Aligned Infrastructure Pilots. These pilots are designed to empower NHS organisations to deliver resilient, secure, and sustainable community diagnostics by removing the technical hurdles that currently compromise service continuity and equity of access.

Across the UK, Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and mobile screening services are facing unprecedented demand. However, providers are often hampered by a reliance on carbon-intensive diesel generators, limited grid capacity for CT operations, and inconsistent connectivity that necessitates the manual transport of data.

"Modern diagnostics should not depend on diesel generators or fragile local workarounds. It’s time for a new solution." said Viv Barrett, Managing Director, DEOS Consulting.

A New Standard for Mobile Screening

Powered by Cuin’s national digital infrastructure, DEOS invites NHS organisations to co-design 8-12 week, clinically neutral pilots. These initiatives focus strictly on infrastructure resilience without altering existing clinical pathways or NHSP screening standards.

The pilot program addresses core operational challenges through four key pillars:

  • Sustainable Power: Implementing silent, clean BESS-C power systems to replace diesel dependency and enable CT operations in locations where grid capacity is insufficient.

  • Secure Connectivity: Utilising bonded broadband with HSCN access to ensure reliable, high-speed data transfer even in remote settings.

  • Advanced Data Handling: Providing Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) capability for auditable and interoperable image handling.

  • Service Oversight: Integrating operational CCTV to support patient safety, site assurance, and remote oversight.

Strategic Impact and Sustainability

The primary objective of these pilots is to demonstrate how integrated infrastructure can eliminate the manual transport of imaging data, improve session reliability, and ensure equitable access to Breast Screening and CT services. Furthermore, the transition to cleaner power sources directly supports NHS sustainability goals by reducing non-clinical operating costs and IG exposure.

How to Participate

DEOS welcomes interest from a broad range of stakeholders, including Integrated Care Systems (ICS), NHS Trusts, Breast Screening Managers, Radiology Leads, and Sustainability & Digital Leads.

Registering an Expression of Interest is a non-binding step intended to initiate discussions regarding scope, suitability, and governance alignment.
