DEOS Consulting Achieves Major Ten-Year Milestone

13 Aug 2025

Company celebrates ten years of operations and acquires 18 NHS Trust contracts along the way

Taunton, Somerset – August 13, 2025 – DEOS Consulting Limited, a leading mobile data transfer company for scanning in healthcare, today announced a major milestone in its growth journey - celebrating 10 years of trading and supporting multiple NHS Trusts around the UK.

Funded with a Grant from the UK Space agency in 2015 DEOS, headquartered in Taunton, Somerset, has since acquired 18 NHS Trust contracts across the UK, alongside new partnerships with private healthcare providers. The achievement reflects a decade of innovation, trust, and measurable impact within the health and care sector.

Since the roll out of their first DEOS Silver Bullet Airstream van (pictured), mobile screening vans, using DEOS’ technology have now been adopted by Trusts of varying sizes and specialties, including – University Hospital North Midlands NHS Trust, Liverpool University Hospital NHS Trust Foundation, and the University Trust Southampton.

The DEOS solution enables the secure transfer of medical images, (breast, lung, etc), from mobile screening units directly to hospital PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) using mobile network and satellite technology. The company has rapidly scaled its services by delivering real-world value—improving operational efficiency, supporting better patient outcomes, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

A Cancer Research UK analysis found that approximately 89,800 cancer cases were detected by the three national screening programs (breast, cervical, and bowel) in England from 2019 to 2023. These programs are estimated to save thousands of lives annually.

“This growth is not just about numbers—it's about the meaningful change we’re driving in healthcare delivery,” said Viv Barrett Managing Director of DEOS. “Trusts and private providers alike are seeking to improve efficiency, decrease time-consuming manual tasks, and ensure important staff such as radiographers and assistant practitioners can use their professional skills to the advantage of the service instead of transporting medical information to and from the hospital.”

Key to the company’s growth has been:

  • Proven ROI: Tangible cost savings and workflow improvements across procurement and operations. Mobile scanning means more patients can be seen and images transferred for analysis faster than before.

  • Customised Solutions: A flexible approach tailored to individual Trust and provider needs.

  • Technology Investment: Continued advancement in cloud infrastructure, analytics, and automation.

  • Expansion into Private Healthcare: Leveraging NHS success to deliver value to private providers, with an emphasis on speed, integration, and quality.

DEOS’ growing footprint reflects broader momentum in the healthcare sector to adopt integrated, tech-driven platforms that deliver efficiency without compromising care.

Ends.
