Partnership speeds up the transfer of images and data, saving lives
Taunton, Somerset – July 22, 2025 – Deos Consulting Limited, a leading mobile data transfer company for healthcare, today announced its instrumental role in the North Midlands Breast Screening Programme's acquisition of two state-of-the-art mobile breast screening vehicles from WH Bence. This collaboration will significantly enhance the programme's ability to conduct efficient breast cancer screenings, facilitate earlier identification of cases, and ultimately save lives across the North Midlands.
The North Midlands Breast Screening Programme, dedicated to providing crucial screening services to communities, has invested in these new, purpose-built vehicles to expand its reach and improve accessibility for patients. A critical component of the enhanced service delivery is Deos Consulting's robust and secure data transfer system, which will be integrated into the new mobile units.
Deos Consulting's technology will enable the seamless and secure transfer of high-resolution breast images and patient data from the mobile screening units directly to the central screening facilities. This eliminates the need for physical transportation of media, significantly reducing turnaround times for image analysis and diagnosis. The efficiency gained through this digital workflow will allow for a more rapid review of screenings, leading to earlier identification of potential breast cancer cases.
"We are incredibly proud to partner with the North Midlands Breast Screening Programme on this vital initiative," said Viv Barrett, Deos Consulting’s Director. "Our secure data transfer solutions are designed to support critical healthcare services, and we are confident that our involvement will empower the programme to deliver more efficient and effective breast cancer screenings. Early detection is paramount in the fight against breast cancer, and by facilitating the rapid and secure transfer of vital information, we are directly contributing to saving lives."
The two new mobile screening vehicles, manufactured by WH Bence, are equipped with the latest mammography technology, ensuring high-quality imaging in a comfortable and accessible environment. The integration of Deos Consulting's secure data transfer system ensures that the benefits of this advanced equipment are fully realised, transforming the operational efficiency of the screening programme.
Michell Ellitts, Superintendent Radiographer of North Midlands Breast Screening Programme, commented, "The acquisition of these new mobile screening units, combined with Deos Consulting's invaluable expertise in secure data transfer, marks a significant leap forward for our programme. The ability to quickly and securely transfer images and data from our mobile units will revolutionise our workflow, allowing us to process screenings more rapidly and, most importantly, identify and address cases of breast cancer earlier than ever before. This collaboration will undoubtedly have a profound and positive impact on the health and well-being of women in the North Midlands."
This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to leveraging technology to improve public health outcomes. By streamlining the breast screening process, the North Midlands Breast Screening Programme, with the support of Deos Consulting and WH Bence, is poised to make a tangible difference in the fight against breast cancer.
